Biography
Robert A. Lopez, AIA is the President and founder of Lopez Salas Architects, Inc. He has over 36 years of architectural and interior design experience in the design and management of a wide range of project types involving adaptive reuse, renovations and new construction of offices, civic and historic buildings, higher education and K-12 schools, churches, medical offices, commercial buildings, retail centers, and community recreation facilities.
His work on renovation and new construction projects for the Alamo Colleges and Schreiner University has received numerous awards. He has led over twenty K-12 renovation and addition projects for NEISD, NISD, and SAISD. Mr. Lopez is personally involved in the oversight of every project we undertake through all design phases to ensure the same caliber of personalized service delivery is accomplished on every project no matter what its size.
Mr. Lopez received a Bachelor of Architecture from Texas Tech University in 1985. His extended studies include Public School Planning and Design from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design in 2002. He is a licensed architect in the State of Texas and holds National Council of Architectural Registration Boards Certification (NCARB). He graduated from Leadership San Antonio Class of 2004 and is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Former Vice President of the Texas Society of Architects, and President of the Texas Tech University School of Architecture Alumni Board.
