Our Story

For over 20 years, LSA has been influenced by the rich culture and history of our region and drawing inspiration from its forms and materials.

Lopez Salas Architects, Inc., (LSA) was formed in May 1999 as Lopez Seidel Architects, Inc. by founding Principal Robert A. Lopez, AIA. In March 2001, the company evolved to become Lopez Salas Architects with the addition of Ignacio Salas-Humara as a partner of the firm. As President and Managing Principal of Lopez Salas Architects, Robert Lopez assumed full ownership of the firm in May 2001. In 2010, Lopez Salas Architects moved into a 2-story historic building that we renovated to accommodate state-of-the-art leasable office spaces for multiple tenants. LSA opened a second office in Corpus Christi, Texas in August 2011 to better serve our clients and branched into the Austin metropolitan area at the end of 2013.

2019 marked our firm’s 20-year anniversary as one of San Antonio’s 25 Largest Architectural Firms.
