The new Consolidated Rental Car facility (ConRAC) is slated to be the flagship project of the City of San Antonio Aviation and CIMS divisions and will serve as a convenient, one-stop central parking and rental car service portal for travelers at the San Antonio International Airport. The $140 million facility consists of a 7-story 1,570,316 gross square foot rental car center and a 4-story quick turnaround area (QTA).

The project will feature a customer service center with 40,848 square foot of conditioned space and 4,800 SF of Support offices, multi-level quick turnaround bays with approximately 54 fueling positions, associated car washes, and maintenance bays. The garage will provide effective connections to airport roadway systems, integration with existing parking systems, and provide connecting ramps between terminals to enhance traffic flow.

The final design of the new stat-of-the-art facility will showcase the flavor of San Antonio and its heritage. They will demolish the existing short-term parking lot for the new structure. The facility will plan for additional space for retail opportunities. The garage will provide effective communications to airport roadway systems, integration with existing parking systems, and provide connecting ramps between terminals for enhanced traffic flow. The project is seeking LEED Silver certification.
