Buda Public Safety and Parks Maintenance Buildings

Architectural design for a 14,408 square foot Public Safety building that will provide a new home of for the Buda Police Department with multiple office spaces for police administration, investigation and dispatch functions. The building will provide easy access at a prominent main entry and a gated enclosure for secure officer parking. The secure yet welcoming reception area will provide for public interactions with the Department and a community meeting room for public meetings and interdepartmental training. Showers and locker rooms will support the Department’s officers and staff. For quick response to community needs, the parking lot will have two egress routes leading to Main Street. The city staff and police department have been involved in every step of the design process, helping to tailor the architectural design to fit the multitude of specific needs of the Buda Police Department and creating a space with which BPD will serve its citizens. 

 

The 3,042 square foot Parks Maintenance building will serve city staff with Parks office space, storage and a shared break room and outside dining patio for Public Works and the Parks Maintenance crew, as well as two truck maintenance service bays.  It is equipped for roof-top solar photovoltaic. The building is located west of the existing Public Works building on Garison Road.
